MakoPulse (https://makopulse.com) is a website and API monitoring service:
it watches sites, certificates, and scheduled jobs, opens incidents when
something breaks, alerts the right person, and keeps customers informed on
a branded public status page.

## Core capabilities

- Multi-region checks from the US (Virginia) and Europe (Amsterdam), with
  per-region response-time charts
- Check frequencies down to every 30 seconds
- Seven monitor types: HTTP availability, keyword present, keyword absent,
  expected status code, real ICMP ping, TCP port, and full real-browser
  checks (headless Chrome that catches JavaScript errors)
- Response-time phase breakdown: DNS, connect, TLS, and transfer timing
- AI incident diagnosis: when an incident opens, MakoPulse re-probes from
  both regions, runs traceroutes, inspects DNS/SSL state, and posts a
  plain-English root cause with next steps within about a minute
- AI post-mortems written automatically when incidents resolve
- Alert channels: e-mail, SMS, and phone calls that read the alert aloud,
  plus webhook/Slack-style integrations and timed escalation ladders
- SSL-certificate and domain-registration expiry monitoring (quiet on
  auto-renewing hosts until expiry is genuinely close)
- Heartbeat monitoring for cron jobs and scheduled workers
- Branded public status pages with 90-day uptime history and e-mail
  subscriptions
- Live network diagnostics (traceroute, MTR, ping) from either region on
  any incident
- Read-only REST API for monitors and incidents
