Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2, 2026
MakoPulse is an uptime-monitoring service operated by Mako Logics LLC ("we", "us"), based in Montgomery, Texas, USA. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and who touches it. The short version: we collect what the service needs to run, we don't run advertising or tracking, and we never sell your data.
What we collect
- Account information. Your e-mail address, workspace name, and a hashed password (we store a bcrypt hash, never the password itself).
- Monitoring configuration. The URLs, hostnames, and settings of the monitors you create, and the incidents, check results, and response-time data they generate.
- On-call contacts. Names, e-mail addresses, and (optionally) phone numbers you add as responders, used solely to deliver the alerts you configure.
- Status-page subscribers. E-mail addresses of people who subscribe to your public status pages, used solely to send them incident updates, with an unsubscribe link in every message.
- Signup abuse prevention. A one-way hash (SHA-256) of your IP address at signup, kept briefly for rate limiting. We store the hash, not the address.
- Payment status. Your plan and subscription state. Card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers.
Cookies and local storage
- makopulse_session — an encrypted, essential cookie that keeps you signed in. No tracking, no third-party access.
- mp-theme — a browser localStorage value remembering your light/dark preference.
- Cloudflare Turnstile— our signup form uses Cloudflare's bot check, which may set its own cookies and collect browser signals per Cloudflare's privacy policy.
We run no analytics scripts and no advertising trackers.
Service providers who process data for us
- Vercel — application hosting (USA).
- Supabase — database hosting (USA).
- Fly.io — our monitoring probes run on servers in Virginia (USA) and Amsterdam (Netherlands). These probes are stateless: they check your sites and return results, storing nothing.
- Resend — sends alert and verification e-mails.
- Twilio — sends SMS and voice-call alerts to phone numbers you provide.
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
- Anthropic— powers AI incident diagnosis and post-mortems. When an incident occurs, technical evidence about the affected monitor (its URL, check results, network traces) is sent to Anthropic's API to generate the analysis. Anthropic does not train models on this API data.
What we do with it
We use your information to run the service: performing checks, opening incidents, sending the alerts you asked for, publishing the status pages you configure, and billing your subscription. We do not sell personal information, share it for advertising, or use it for anything unrelated to monitoring.
Retention and deletion
Monitoring history is kept while your account is active so your charts and reports work. If you delete a monitor, its check history goes with it. To delete your account and all associated data, e-mail us at the address below and we'll complete it within 30 days.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're in a jurisdiction with specific privacy laws (such as the EU/GDPR or California/CCPA), those rights apply to you and we honor them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top and, for significant changes, note it on the dashboard. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
